This is Max. He is a Tibetan Spaniel. I adopted him from the SPCA when he was just two years old. I didn’t have a history on him, but he was very polite and seemed to be well trained from the moment he came to live with me. He is a sweet and loving creature. He especially loves people, so we visit the local nursing home often.
He is house broken and I had no problems with him until a friend came to live with me. Max does understand what a bathroom is used for. As soon as the friend moved in, Max began to make every attempt to use my friend’s bathroom, either in front of the toilet or in front of the bathroom door when he didn’t care to go outside.
I was becoming extremely frustrated, because everything I tried, to redirect this behavior, failed. I was looking for someone to help me when I found Shawn. Almost overnight, her treatment changed everything. His attitude about himself immediately showed more confidence. He sat and walked like he was proud of himself. I had not noticed he had lost that pride in himself lately. He used to prance as he walked. Now he prances again when we go for walks. He began eating better and has become cuddlier than he was before.
We have only had one accident in front of the friend’s bathroom door two days after she treated him and no accidents since that time. He does not bark or scratch like my previous dogs did to go outside. However, he has learned to get my attention to let him outside now. I am very pleased with the results. I recommend Shawn to anyone needing help understanding a special member of their family.
Thanks so much for your help.
